Farewell Dr. Barros!

Aloha to our Animal Care Hospital Ohana,

It is with both gratitude and heartfelt appreciation that we share the news that Dr. Dennis Barros will be retiring from veterinary medicine, effective March 31.

Dr. Barros has dedicated 30 years to veterinary medicine, including 7 years serving our community here, at The Animal Care Hospital. Throughout his career, Dr. Barros has exemplified compassion, clinical excellence, and an unwavering commitment to the human–animal bond.

Career Highlights & Accomplishments:

• 30 years in practice
• Founder of over 5 notable Veterinary Hospitals, including our beloved Animal Care Hospital
• Vast and proficient expertise in all surgeries, with a unique knowledge in Orthopedic Surgeries, including Angular Limb Deformities
• Has been a lead mentor and knowledge base to over a dozen or more veterinarians beginning their career

Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Barros has been a leader and trusted colleague. His impact on our team, clients, and countless pets over the years cannot be overstated.

As Dr. Barros begins this next chapter, he looks forward to spending much needed family time with his two children before they leave for college, in addition to personal time with his life partner. Perhaps you may see Dr Barros on the beach with his fishing pole, or in the home depot; a place he frequents often, since he enjoys home renovating in his free time. While we will deeply miss Dr Barros, we are incredibly happy for him and grateful for the legacy he leaves behind.
