Kylie Watson
Veterinarian
Born and raised in the beautiful upcountry region of Maui, Dr. Watson has always had a deep connection to animals and a curiosity for the world around her. While she once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian as a child, it was her initial fascination with archaeology that first guided her to college. She began her undergraduate journey studying Anthropology/Archaeology but soon found her true calling in veterinary medicine, ultimately switching her focus mid-way through to pursue her passion for animal care.
Dr. Watson’s educational path is as diverse as her interests. A proud “lifer” from Kamehameha Schools Maui, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon (Go Ducks!), followed by a Master’s degree and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University. During her clinical year, she lived in 10 different cities across 8 states, embracing every opportunity to learn and grow in new environments—from Vermont and Maine to Kentucky and Hawai’i.
Today, Dr. Watson shares her Maui home with her beloved golden retriever, Madison—better known as Madi Girl, Madster, Mads, or Sister Girl. When she’s not caring for her patients, you’ll likely find her at the beach with Madi or off on an adventure, chasing her love of travel. Her favorite getaway? The scenic shores of Lake Tahoe, California.
While she wouldn’t call herself a sneakerhead, Dr. Watson proudly owns a footwear collection that exceeds 75 pairs—everything from sneakers to slippers, heels to Crocs. And fun fact: she’s allergic to cockroaches!
Although she doesn’t consider herself a major sports fan, she’ll always cheer for the Oregon Ducks on game day. And when it comes to her work, Dr. Watson finds the most joy in connecting with people. She believes that her role extends beyond caring for pets—it’s about supporting and guiding their human companions through both joyful and challenging moments. Helping clients navigate their pets’ health journeys is a responsibility she deeply values and a privilege she honors every day.
